AHHHHH I remember that. This was the beginning of my frazzled relationship with anyone else who makes Javi gifs hahah.
That was the beginning of a lot of side-eyeing and scoffing from me, but then things died down for awhile in the Javi tag, but that could be because I blocked everyone…that’s the explanation for pretty much everything.

The second is more an anecdote. I was between 4-6 years old and my nino (what I call my godfather) was chasing me around the house so I hid in the closet, and he said he was going to hide somewhere to scare me when I came out…well, I got myself so anxious in that closet that I pissed myself all over a pair of my nina’s shoes. That story is still a big hit in my family.
16) Something I really don’t like, you know this is hard for me to answer because I hate most things. When people talk about things they don’t know about. It is one of my all time biggest pet peeves and it applies to every aspect of life. Politics, sports, every day tasks, anything. I don’t feel like I always have to be right but if you’re wrong and try to argue with me, I will verbally cut you.

And I agree with you that seems to be a bigger problem in California and especially within subcultures. Punk rock & rockabilly kids with them don’t see the problem because they’re so “open-minded” how could they possible be appropriating something?
Yes, I rarely use the term “hipster” but those kids do it as well with the head dresses and it drives me nuts. These kids all think they’re so above everyone else, punk kids, hipster kids, etc but they’re all just as blind and ignorant as their parents and their grandparents.

Yeah and then you run into the trendy white assholes with sugar skull tattoos who will swear up and down that they’re just “appreciating your culture” by taking yet another thing that doesn’t belong to them.
And it’s one of those things where even if you call someone out on it, what are they going to do? Get it removed? They’re certainly not going to feel like the culturally illiterate asshole they are for the rest of their lives.
